Sara received her BS and MS in physics at the American University of Beirut with focus on the interplay between dynamics on networks and the latter's topologies. She then obtained her PhD in Physics at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Martin Grant studying out-of-equilibrium systems, and employed notions from statistical mechanics to model them cell morphologies. After her postdoctoral positions at the Couzin lab at Princeton and GALCIT at Caltech she moved to CNRS-L to study complexity at the Urban scale.
