The Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) will be hosting a virtual Routing Security Workshop in coordination with Internet Society (ISOC) on December 17th, 2020.
The workshop will provide an introduction to routing security, the issues with global BGP routing system, and the Mutually Assured Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) initiative that aims to address these problems by encouraging operators to subscribe to four actions including filtering, anti-spoofing, coordination and address prefix validation.
It will also introduce participants to resources that can help improve awareness and knowledge of routing security, including online tutorials and implementation guides. Finally, there will be a demonstration of the MANRS Observatory tool and some practical implementation exercises.
