Redouane Merrouch joined the National Center of Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST) in 1991. He is responsible of the department which takes charge of all the Ministry of Higher Education and Research's IT projects which are intended for the universities.

Redouane Merrouch is the head of the Moroccan National and Academic Network (MARWAN) since 1998. He is also responsible of the High Performance Computing Infrastructure in Morocco (MaGrid). In addition to that, Redouane is a professor of Network engineering at the University Mohamed V of Rabat (Mohammadia Engineering School).

Redouane Merrouch holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from University of Caen, France.
