Short biography of Antonio Saravia

Deputy Director of RedIRIS at Red.es - Ministry of Economy and Business.

Associate Professor of Digital Economy at the University of Alcala de Henares.

MsC in Computer Science from Polytechnic University of Madrid. Executive MBA from IE Business School (Madrid).

With more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications sector and the information society, in organizations and companies such as CERN, Telefonica or the American MCI, and since 2002 at Red.es, where he focused on the definition and implementation of national initiatives aimed at digital transformation, economic growth and job creation through ICT.

Since November 2015, he has been working at RedIRIS, the Spanish Research and Education Network, promoting and leading new projects and services to better serve Spanish R&HE community.
