Dr. Khalil Ajami is actually president of Syrian Virtual University (SVU). He is an academic researcher at SVU and got a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer science from LIP6 (Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris 6) University Pierre & Marie Curie - France.

Dr. Ajami is also a professor of Software Engineering at Syrian Virtual University and at Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology and leading the development of SVU e-Infrastructure.

His experience has been in the area of technology development and consulting. As a technical advisor and consultant for more than 20 years, professor Ajami has worked on several technology and education related projects funded by many national and international institutions.  His main technical expertise covers varieties of topics in Education, e-Infrastructure, ICT. His personal interest lies in E-infrastructure and Online Learning, Virtual Learning Quality Assurance, and different aspects of learning in higher education contexts. Dr. Ajami’s recent researches focuses on exploring the impact of using social learning & new technologies, in virtual learning environments.
