Bio: Gergana Petrova, RIPE NCC, Netherlands
Gergana Petrova has worked at the RIPE NCC for the past 8 years. As part of the External Relations team, she helps lead the RIPE NCC's engagement with a broad range of stakeholders, including the RIPE NCC membership, the RIPE community, government, law enforcement and other Internet stakeholders. Gergana also coordinates the RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI) – an initiative that connects researchers and academics with the RIPE community.
Abstract: “Update from the RIPE NCC: Trends and Developments”
The presentation will give a brief update from the RIPE NCC, one of the five Regional Internet Registries. It will explore the current state of
IPv4 in the world and alternatives operators have, such as trading on the IPv4 transfer market, using NAT or deploying IPv6. It will cover the resent uptate of RPKI, a routing security framework. Lastly, it will give some useful links and information about online learning and certification.
