Antonio Saravia González

Since November 2015, Deputy Director of RedIRIS (Spanish NREN) at Red.es, Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda of Spain.
Associate Professor of Digital Economy, University of Alcala de Henares.
MsC in Computer Science at Polytechnic University of Madrid, Executive MBA at IE Business School (Madrid).
He began his career in 1991 at C.E.R.N. (Conseil European pour la Recherche Nucleaire). After 3 years he returns to Spain in order to enter Telefonica, first in the R+D department and then in the Operations core. Later he joined M.C.I., an American company, where he was in charge of the Department of Projects and Service Management for Spain and Belgium.
Finally in December 2002 he joined Red.es where his professional activity has been focused on the definition, launch and execution of nationwide initiatives and programs aimed at the development of the Information Society and Digital Economy in Spain.
Currently as member of RedIRIS, his main goal is to continue providing the best communications and IT services and solutions to the Spanish research and academic community.
