Speaker: Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager, Lithuania
Working in collaboration with libraries and library consortia in more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe, Iryna Kuchma advocates for open access to research results, facilitates the development and implementation of open science policies and infrastructures, and provides support and training. She sits on the boards of Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS) and the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD). She serves on the UNESCO Open Science Advisory Committee, DSpace Community Advisory Team and the CODATA Policy and Legal Working Group.
Abstract: “Implementing Open Science at Institutional and National Levels”
This talk will outline how institutions and countries are implementing open science, building on the UNESCO Open Science Recommendation - the first-ever international standard for open science. It will also highlight EIFL and LIBSENSE resources that could help institutions and countries to move forward.
