AArU and ASREN agree to closer collaboration in scientific areas

 
Amman - The Association of Arab Universities (AArU) and the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) towards cooperation in scientific areas, especially in research and education infrastructures and services. HE Prof. Amr Ezzat Salamah, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities and HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN), signed the memorandum of understanding in Amman following thorough discussions between both parties.
 
The MoU included several pillars that mostly focus on supporting the developments of the pan Arab dedicated research and education network to connect universities and research centers with other universities around the world through this network. It also included sharing knowledge with research and education communities in the region especially on using the research and education infrastructures and services to enhance their research and education outcomes. Cooperation in Open science and Open Access are also included in the agreement.
 
HE Prof. Amr Salamah said: “The Association of Arab Universities is committed to provide the Arab universities with the best services especially establishing cooperation and enabling collaboration. This agreement will help in providing infrastructure and collaboration services to the Arab universities.”
 
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh said: “We work hard to connect all Arab universities to the regional pan Arab research and education network through the Arab National Research and education Networks. This agreement will enable us to further connect more universities and extend our services to these universities”.
